    Dear Teachers,
Taking the consideration of the instructions and suggestions from Central Epidemic Command Center in the case of the novel coronavirus, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages has made the following announcement:
  1. The start of the second semester is rescheduled from February 17 (Mon.) to March 2 (Mon.). Note that the end of 108-2 semester remains the same, i.e. on June 20 (Sat.).
  2. In order to fulfill the policy of “18-week instruction for a one-credit course, WZU e-cloud courses will be officially implemented either synchronously or asynchronously during February 17 (Mon.) ~ February 29 (Sat.). Over the period, regular roll call is required and the submission of roll call is extended to March 15 (Sun.).
  3. All the teaching materials (e.g. PPT, video clips, reading passages, tests, homework, discussion topics, etc.) should be uploaded to e-cloud before Feb. 15 (Sat.) and the function of ‘auditing allowed’ should be set to allow students to decide whether or not the course can become one of their elective courses. By doing so, the procedure of online course registration (course selection) can be completed as scheduled.
  4. All teachers are suggested to make use of the mailing system of e-cloud to inform students the first and second weeks’ course announcements before Feb. 15 (Sat.).
  5. In addition to the regular WZU e-cloud course management system, other supplementary platforms are also acceptable, e.g. LINE or FB. If live broadcasting is used, screens shots need to be captured as records.
  6. Teachers who are teaching the same course are strongly encouraged to either share the materials or work together as a team so as to cut down working load.
If you are unfamiliar with e-cloud operation, please refer to the link of e-cloud (http://elearning2.wzu.edu.tw/) or reach the website of Center for Faculty Development (https://c014.wzu.edu.tw/) for further details.

Wish you peace and good health.
